The way to handle your dog’s separation anxiety

The bond which exists between a dog and his owner can be stronger than many human relationships. You likely exercise, eat, play and sleep together, more activities than you do with numerous friends. It’s good to have unconditional love, but if your pet relies on it to be on good behaviour, some simple dog training exercises can get him used to your absence.
Virtually 10 % of dogs of all ages suffer with separation anxiety with owners. If you aren't sure whether it’s a problem be aware of his actions when you are making preparations to leave the house. Is he anxious, following you everywhere or peeing in places he should not? Attempt to pin the root of his emotions “has he had a traumatising experience with someone leaving? Does he almost always have people around him? When you suspect a reason, dog training to ease the separation anxiety can start.
Ensure you don’t punish him for negative actions the separation anxiety may cause. Rather, develop behavioral management dog training methods such as leash training or kenneling. Also, try and numb triggers that spark separation anxiety, for example putting your coat on or jingling your keys without going anywhere. When you get home, try to not be very excited to see him or else he’ll miss you when you leave more.
Separation anxiety dogs training techniques will push the undesired behavior to the wayside and also encourage good behavior. Provide his fave toys if he behaves when you are getting ready to leave or give him a treat right before you step out the door.
